Weight (kg) × 35mlActivity adjustment: Add 350-1000ml based on exercise
Climate adjustment: Add 0-500ml for heat/humidity
Drink more if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, sick, or drinking alcohol/caffeine.
FAQs
Is 8 glasses a day enough?
The "8 glasses" rule is a good starting point, but needs vary by weight, activity, and climate.
Does coffee and tea count?
Yes! All fluids count, though caffeine has a mild diuretic effect (makes you pee slightly more).
How do I know if I'm drinking enough?
Check your urine color. Light yellow is good. Dark yellow means drink more.
Can I drink too much water?
Yes, but it's rare. Drinking several liters in a short time can be dangerous (water intoxication).
Do I need more water when exercising?
Yes! Drink 500-1000ml extra for every hour of exercise, depending on intensity and sweating.
